Our law firm is currently seeking to hire a full-time assistant and receptionist to assist our lawyers in our Toronto office.
The position is a permanent full time position that is available immediately.
- Responsibilities include the following:
- law office book-keeping
- oral and written communication with clients
- answering telephone calls and inquiries
- scheduling appointments
- creating litigation documents according to lawyer's instructions
- arrange for the filing and service of court documents
- commissioning affidavits (the successful candidate will be made a commissioner of oaths)
- internet research
You must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. You must work well under tight deadlines and litigation-driven pressure. You must have a can-do attitude every step of the way.
You must have superior word-processing and proof reading skills as well as excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. A detail-oriented approach to handling multiple projects with minimal supervision is required.
Proficiency in PCLAW, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and internet research is strongly preferred.
